Ross & Ruth Burgess have extracted vital stats from the Methodist Church newspaper, the Wesleyan from 1839 - 1864 and also from the same thing for the Baptist newspaper for Nova Scotia called the Christian Messenger 1846-1865. They are willing to do "brief" look ups but not extensive ones like "all Smiths"!! So if you think that they might have information just e-mail them.
