General Question -
1. Is there a list of the residents of Warren County around 1820?
2. Also I understand that I can get vital records from Trenton starting in year 1848. My dad is interested in getting a copy of a birth certificate from 1828. Is that available from Warren County?

MARKS/KEESLER - Have just noticed the existence of Marksboro on my road map and am curious to know the origin of the name. I am one of a group of MARKS cousins who have been unable to trace our ancestor's origins. Jacob MARKS was in the Damascus PA/Cochecton NY area by 1811, when he married Polly KEESLER, whom he may have met en route from ? The KEESLERs were 1710 Palatines who travelled from New York State to Pennsylvania, with a possible detour through New Jersey, also arriving in Pennsylvania ca. 1810. Family legend says Jacob MARKS' father was Daniel MARKS, who drove an ammunition cart during the Revolution. There was also a John MARKS in Damascus, presumably Jacob's brother. Does anyone know how Marksboro got its name? Or are there any other MARKSES or KEESLERS out there?
