WOLFORD/WOOLEVER/PEPINGER/POTTY/WEST
My ancestor, John WOLFORD b 1754 (m. Elizabeth WOOLEVER)served in the NJ Militia during the Revolutionary War. I have copies of his pension stating he did quite a lot of service around Hunterdon and Morris County. Possibly his farm was nearby...? The captains of his units were Capt PEPINGER (sp?) and Capt POTTY. Both served under Col WEST. Anyone heard of any of these officers and what they did in the militia?
