HSWT - Cemetery Tour 2004

The Historical Society of Winslow Township held its 1st Annual Historic Cemetery Tour at the Winslow Methodist Church on October 22 & 23. Below you will find highlights of that weekend's events. 	HSWT member, Debbie LoSasso, manned the ticket table to sell and collect tickets for the Historic Cemetery Tour.
	HSWT member, Monica Chambers, portrayed Hanna Jordan. Hanna died at the age of 34 and lived in the village of Winslow during the time that it was a thriving manufacturing center.
	Church pastor, Rev. Crowley, portrayed James Hay, a prominent businessman in the area. James was partnered with another prominent name in the area, Bodine Coffin.
	HSWT member and society officer, Frank DelGuercio gives his presentation as John Beebe to a group of tour participants. The Beebe family was a very prominent family in the Cedar Brook area of Winslow Township. At one time there was a section in Winslow Township called Beebetown.
	Stephen Capoferri portrayed master glassblower, Charles Westcott. Stephen, as Charles Westcott, explained to the tour participants the important of Winslow Township in the glassblowing industry.
	Young Jason Crowley, son to the church pastor, dressed the part of Henry Bennett. Henry was a veteran of the Civil War who served in the New Jersey infantry.
	Another high school student, Mike McCarty, portrayed another Civil War veteran, Salvadore Calabrese. Salvadore served in the Union Navy during the Civil War.
	HSWT members (left to right), Patti Ward and Gloria Conners, were present at the last stop for the tour participants to enjoy refreshments and making everyone feel welcome.
