Will of William Smith, Sr.

1743-4, February 18 Page 445   Will of William Smith, Sr., Yeoman of Cape May County.

All of the marsh which I surveyed joining the Cedar Hammock, to be paid for out of my moveable estate, and that part of the marsh between the line fence and my son John Smith's land shall be given to him with all my rights to his land.

Son: William, all my rights to his lands.

"The reason I give these sons no more is because I have given each a plantation before."

Son: Richard all my lands and surveys and rights (except what has been mentioned) provided he shall pay ƒ100 to my son Jonathan Smith

Sons: Daniel and Jeremiah ƒ60 each

Daughter: Elizabeth, (wife of Samuel Foster) 5 shillings

Granddaughter: Ruth Osborne ƒ7 at 18

Executors: sons Richard and Jonathan

Witnesses: Michael Iszard, Mary Conner, Nathaniel Jenkins, Jr.
