Historical & Genealogical Societies
of Camden County
On this page I will detail the different historical and
genealogical societies that are currently established in Camden County. These
societies deal with the local history and tracing the genealogy of the citizen within
their borders. If you know of a society and it is not on this list please let me
know by sending me an e-mail using the link above.
Societies in the county:
- Winslow Genealogical &
Historical Society
- Group actively researching, documenting, and preserving the
history of Winslow Township and the citizens and organizations that were instrumental in
forming its future.
- Long-A-Coming Historical Society
- Society that focuses on the history of Berlin Boro, NJ.
Major project that they are currently involved in is the restoration of the Berlin
Hotel.
- Lawnside Historical
Society
- Caretakers of the Peter Mott House, a stop along the old
Underground Railroad. Lawnside, NJ is the states only African-American incorporated
municipality.
