Note.--44. Ezra B.; 49. Simon Wesley, and 50. James Edward Lake, of the previous family, were all ministers of the Methodist Episcopal Church, and were projectors of Ocean City, in the spring of 1879. To them is due much of the prosperity of that city. 44. Rev. Ezra B. Lake, b. December 28,1833, was the inventor of the window shade roller, also of the ball bearing bicycles requiring no oil.
