Information for Researchers at the Merrimack Historical Society


The Merrimack Historical Society has many resources for researchers of history and genealogy within the town of Merrimack, New Hampshire, and the surrounding region including:

  • Collections (artifacts, documents, town histories and genealogies at the historical society)
  • Merrimack Records (on this site) including a list of persons buried in local cemeteries
  • Scrapbook collections donated that include obituaries and other news articles, especially from 1930s through the 1960s.
  • Town reports that include births, marriages and deaths.
  • School teacher and schoolhouse indexes. A significant collection of information and photographs of McGaw Institute graduates.
  • Photograph collections.
  • Genealogical Family files collected over several years.


Most of these resources are on-site at our society building, and must be visited
in person, or requested by email or regular mail.
