The National Society of the Sons & Daughters of the Pilgrims from Bloomington, MN donated the following 2 books.

NATIONAL SOCIETY OF THE SONS & DAUGHTERS OF THE PILGRIMS LINEAGE BOOK IV, published in 1993, a 343 page hard bound book with index, contains lineages from #8632 to 9153 includes name, place of birth, name of spouse, marriage date and list of ancestors with spouse including birth & death dates. Several have references.

NATIONAL SOCIETY OF THE SONS & DAUGHTERS OF THE PILGRIMS LINEAGE BOOK V published in 1994, a 438 page hard bound book with index contains lineages from #9154 to 9769 with information like above. Apllications (sic) papers can be ordered for $5.00 an application

HEUMANN GENEALOGY--Hagen by Lage Lippe-Detmold Germany & Seward NE compiled and published by Marvin O. Kroeger of Lincoln, NE, is a 199 page soft bound book beginning with family in Germany, on to U.S.. Many maps, documents, lineage charts, photographs and addresses make up the book.

A SCOTT GOES WEST--The Story of David & Mary Ann Bell, revised edition, donated by Joseph W. Bell of Lakelandk (sic) FL, is a 150 page spiral bound book with history, photos and charts. David & Mary Ann came from Scotland in 1846 to Green Co. Wisc. where they raised 7 children. Mary Ann and several children came to Sheridan County, NE where they remained Othes (sic) scattered to CO, SD and MT.

UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA CORNHUSKER YEARBOOK 1935, a 396 page hard bound book with general & advertising indexes has many pictures of students faculty and buildings of the various schools, organizations, sororities, fraternaties, etc.

The Beatrice Public Library of Beatrice, NE donated the following 11 books that are too large to mail.

GUIDE TO U.S ELECTIONS-2ND EDITION is a 1308 page hard bound book has brief descriptions of each presidential convention from 1831 to 1984, governors of the states from 1789 to 1985, popular vote returns from senate and house southern primaries, key convention ballots and profiles of American political parties.

THE RIEDESELS IN AMERICA donated by Laureen Riedesel of Beatrice, is a 96 page paper back book compiled by Dr. Paul L. Riedesel in 1980. William Riedesel, born in Germany in 1677, immigrated from West Central Germany to the United States. His descendants make up the book.

THE CALLAWAY FAMILY ASSOCIATION of Denver, CO is searching for members. The NSGS librarian has the flyer if you are interested in joining.

BOOKS PURCHASED BY THE SOCIETY:

SIOUX COUNTY- MEMOIRS OF ITS PIONEERS a 304 page paper back book has short family stories and photos from 17 areas of the county published in 1967.

FOUR SCORE AND SEVEN YEARS - OXFORD NE a 358 page hard bound book, published in 1968 is the history of the town, its churches, schools etc. along with 74 pages of histories of the earliest families and short histories of the villages of Carter, Hollinger and Mascot.

OSCEOLA CENTENNIAL HISTORY 1871-1971 an 863 page hard bound book is published in 10 year periods. Many short biographies, pioneer reminiscences, listing of doctors, state governors, legislators with all sorts of interesting articles for genealogists. Short histories of four area towns. The appendix has a high school alumni directory, listing of county officials, postmasters, rural mail carriers, newspaper publishers and all sorts of statistics.
