HOLMES COUNTY MISSISSIPPI PIONEERS donated by Heritage Books of Bowie, MD, a 194 page book with index, contains tax lists for 1833, 1837 & 1845; 1850 slave schedule listing owners name with number of male & female slaves; wills for 1833 to 1888; 45 brief early family genealogies and newspaper abstractions of vital statistics from Lexington newspapers in 1838 & 1839.
HIGHLAND CEMETERY AT ADAMS NE donated by Bill & Betty Sorenson of Filley, a 25 page book in a three ring binder lists the names in alphabetical order along with the section the grave is located. A map of the cemetery is included.
INDEX TO 1885 OFFICIAL NEBRASKA ATLAS donated by the compiler Marjorie Sobotka of Elkhorn, is a 77 page index of names in alphabetical order along with page number in a 3-ring binder; Index of Precincts in each county and an index of each town in each county.
Doris Lostroh of Pleasant Dale and Joanne Lostroh of Lincoln compiled and
donated the following two books:
PLEASANT DALE CENTENNIAL
HISTORY BOOK 1882-1992 a 108 page soft bound book, has a history of
the town in stories and pictures including 41 pages of family histories that
are not in alphabetical order.
50 YEARS PLEASANT DALE RURAL VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT
1942-1992 an 84 page soft bound book with subject index, contains the history
of its organization till the 50 year celebration. Many pictures, listing
of officers, Board of Directors and members names along with date they joined,
resigned and length of time served.
THE GUIDE TO FAMILY ASSOCIATIONS & NEWSLETTERS A-F compiled and donated by Claudette Maerz of Bloomington, MN, is a 40 page soft cover book listing surnames in alphabetical order with name & address of whom to make contact with. This guide is published for sale in three volumes.
EARLY DAYS OF THE HANNIBAL AND SORENSEN FAMILIES IN HOWARD
COUNTY NEBRASKA
DONATED BY James C. Patrick of Harvard, a 10 page soft cover
book written by Rosa M. Sorensen Christensen. Both families came from Denmark
to Wisconsin and on to homesteads in Howard County near Dannebrog where they
raised their families. Both homesteaders were Civil War Veterans.
IRELAND-SHORE FAMILY HISTORY donated by compiler, Wallace Ireland of Woodland, CA, a 12 page booklet of charts and stories beginning with James & Sarah Jane Ireland who homesteaded and died in Saline County. George & Ella Shore came to Polk County where they are buried.
JOHN H & NANCY ANN HOUSTON FAMILY, DONATED BY Dan Houston of Michigan, a 9 page publication of the four children who were born in Missouri and Nebraska. The family who settled in Fillmore County have five generations listed.

AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF DONALD F SAMPSON 1905-1987 a 98 page spiral bound book, written
by Donald, is his life story who was born near Central City, graduated from
the University of Nebraska Law School, marriage, their travels through every
state in the U.S., all but 2 Canadian Provinces, Panama, Ireland, Scotland,
Wales, England, and tours of Europe and the Scandanavian (sic) Countries.
SOME ZAMZOW-SAMPSON HISTORY a 66 page spiral bound book tells of Sophia ZAMZOW and 4 sons coming to Wisconsin from Prussia. Sophia and 2 married sons came to Merrick County, NE in 1874 when the Zamzow name was changed to Sampson. Family charts, photos and stories of the Sampson Family along with allied names of Ferris, Ross, Gaibraith and Scott make up the publication.
RELATIVES AND MORE RELATIVES: BEECHER, FIDLER, GORHAM, GRAVES, PLUMB, SCHMIDT & OTHER FAMILIES a 523 page hard bound book with index donated by the compiler, Dorothy Schmidt Lambert of Woodland, CA, has many family charts, photos, maps and documents. Reading through the ahnentafel many births, deaths, marriages and burials took place in Nebraska.
THE WARREN FAMILY OF TRIGG COUNTY KENTUCKY donated by the author, Martha Jane Stone of Lexington, KY, a large 411 page hard bound book with index, is the genealogy of William Henry Harrison and Nancy (Stewart) Warren and his brothers, Manan, Timothy and Booker in charts, stories, photos and documents. Fairmont and Seward are listed in the Locality Finder Section for Nebraska connections.

in America beginning in Connecticut.

BURIALS OF CIVIL WAR VETERANS IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY AT OMAHA, a 48 page soft cover book has an index of names, location in cemetery, rank enlistment and discharge dates, birth & death dates, cause of death, place of residence and nearest relative.
PICTORIAL HISTORY OF THAYER COUNTY a 128 page hard bound book is the history of Thayer County in pictures.
HISTORY OF THE AMERICAN LEGION OF NEBRASKA a small 213 page hard bound book published in 1922 has the history of the American Legion following World War I, its Auxiliary and the first four conventions. A roster of the 330 posts with name, location, date organized and offciers (sic) for the years 1919 to 1922.
AND COLUMBUS GREW 1928-1948 a small 46 page hard bound book is the history of the development of public power districts in Nebraska, building of the Loup Power Canal, highways, bridges and viaduct, and the industrial site.
SHIFTING SANDS IN CHERRY & BROWN COUNTIES a small 207 page paper back book written by Henry Voss on his arrival to NE as a baby to ranch country in 1894. Many stories, photos of family, friends & neighbors make up the book.
HISTORY OF NEBRASKA BY ANDRES published in 1882 are large hard bound books. Volume I of 930 pages has the early history of Nebraska as a territory, as a state, railroads, societies and military. Histories of Counties Adam to Gosper, towns in each county and short biographies of prominent men and early settlers. Volume II of 1399 pages had histories of counties, Hall to York with same information as above. A 423 page index is included.
McCOOL JUNCTION PROGRAM OF GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION 1887-1937 a 26 page soft cover book has a history of the town, photos and cast of characters in the pageant presented for the celebration.
OMAHA & DOUGLAS COUNTY published in 1917 are 2 hard bound books. Volume I of 472 pages contains the settlement of the city and county from early explorers, Indian history, Louisiana purchase, fur traders and Mormans (sic). Volume II of 997 pages with index of biographies contains only biographies and photoes (sic) of prominent men.

HISTORY OF RICHARDSON COUNTY published in 1917, is a 1417 page hard bound book
with historical index and biographical index. This is an extensive history
of the county and each town. There are 662 pages of biographies with many
photographs.
HARNESS IN THE PARLOUR-EARLY CANADIAN FACT & FOLKLORE a 90 page soft cover book written by a dairy farmerette in the historic counties of Carleton & Lanark in Otawa Valley & Maple, Ontario. Residents of Black Creek Pioneer Village related interesting experiences with the author.
THE CANADIAN REBELLION OF 1937-1938 a 147 page paperback explains the relations of the United States to the Canadian Rebellion that involved Lower Canada and the northern states of the US. Many documents are reproduced.
SKETCHES OF UPPER CANADA 1821, a 339 page paperback book has articles from many settlements of information of Emigrants of every class and some recollections of the United States.
PENNSYLVANIA GERMAN PIONEERS all hard bound books have the original ship lists of arrivals in the Port of Philadelphia. Volume I of 776 pages is for the years 1727-1775. Volume II of 893 pages has the signatures of all males on each ship. Volume III of 709 pages has the index for all 3 volumes and a list of males on each ship for the years 1785-1808. Each book has the names of the ships, with the date of their arrival. Some passengers tell how many came with them;' some recorded the ages of the males and some show their age, occupations, description and baggage. Volume II lists names of married women and children.
THE STORY OF THE VOLGA GERMAN, a 406 page soft cover book with index, is the story of the Germans from Russia that covers the period from as early as 1874. Volga Germans emigrated to Kansas, Colorado, Nebraska and South Dakota who went through difficult times during World War t arid II. There are 15 pages of surnames along with name of village and 2 pages of names, number in group with date of arrival in U.S. and place of home.
TO REAP A BOUNTIFUL HARVEST CZECH IMMIGRATION BEYOND THE MISSISSIPPI 1850-1900 a 180 page soft cover book with index explains life in the Homeland to the New World with settlements in Nebraska, Iowa and Texas. Struggle of survival in religion, education, politics, and fraternal organization is explained. List of emigrants in 1858 with age and occupation are included.
LYONS CEMETERY 165 pages in a 3-ring notebook has an index. Maps of each of the 25 blocks with tombstone inscriptions from each lot along with additional information such as maiden name, military information, organization or lodge.
LINCOLN & LANCASTER COUNTY published in 1916 are 2 hard bound books. Volume I of 358 pages is the organization and early settlements of Lancaster County, its towns and Lincoln. Reminiscenses (sic) taken from 1907 Plat Book. Volume II of 805 pages has only biographical stories with some photos. An index of biographies is included.
TRACING FOR ROOTS IN THE MISSOURI RIVER VALLEY FROM
SIOUX CITY IA TO INDEPENDENCE MO a 196 page soft cover directory with index, contains records from museums,
libraries, courthouses, historical and genealogical societies from 27 counties.
Ten Nebraska counties are listed. Maps, vital records forms, names of researchers
and a little history of the river and its people are additional features in
