Charter members of the Christian Church which was organized 60 years ago this spring. Mr. Littrell became a charter member of the old Ox Bow Church in the fall of 1873. Mrs. Littrell became a member of the same church when 15 yrs old. The family of Mr. Littrell,. The courtship of this couple began in 1877 the year Mrs. Littrell's pars. moved west of town. A group of young people were driving to Nelson. One of Mr. Littrell's bros. was seated in the front of the wagon & beside him was Miss Josephine WEHRMAN. The bro. was not talking & joking as much as Philip. Miss Josephine said "if you do not get to talking I am going back there with your brother, Philip". Thus the romance began. It was in this home that Josephine Wehrman & Philip P. Littrell were married at 7:00 in the evening on Saturday, 27 April 1878 by Elder J. N. COOK. 19 were present: Mrs. COOK & Mrs. LIVINGSTON, grandmother of Ollie AIKIN a former neighbor on Ox Bow.

The couple moved to a log cabin home on the farm on Ox Bow; 2 yrs later moved 3 1/2 miles west of town now operated by Mr. & Mrs. Wm. JENSEN. In spring of 1893 they bought the HALL farm 2 miles west of town & lived there until 1908 when they sold it to Joel WILSON & moved to Nelson.
