.... Red Cloud Agency, Neb. Sept. 20. The 'Treaty was consumated with the Sioux, Cheyennes and Arrapahoes. The following Indians were selected by their people to sign, after the treaty was red (sic) over and interpreted to them. Red Cloud Young-Man-Afraid-of Horses Red Dog Little Wound American Horse Afraid-of-the-Bear Three Bears Fire Hunter Quick Bear Red Leaf Fire Eyes White Cox Good Bull Big Foot The Cheyennes and Arrapahoes will not sign until tomorrow. Red Cloud expressed concern for his people to move to the Missouri river country as there are bad men and bad whiskey there and I don't want to go. Young-Man-Afraid-of-his-Horse said this is the country where I was born and he wanted to remain here. Fire Hunter came with a blanket over his eyes & signed blindfolded. Big Foot said he is a farmer.
