There is no cemetery, but a grave out in the field. It was known to be Mrs. George BARNETT who died many years ago. It was said that her and her husband lived in a sod house just across the road. For many nights he used to sit by her grave in a rocking chair smoking his pipe.*
*16 Jun 2003: Mrs. George Barnett who lived in Seward was our great great great grandmother Mary Ann (O'Keefe) Barnett She died between 1871-1880. She came from Ireland. Sincerely, Michelle Moore <Up1tree@earthlink.net>
