SCOTT - EMRICK
SCOTT-EMRICK -- Mr. and Mrs. Leo V. Scott of Vicksburg announce the marriage of their daughter, Helen, to Lieutenant Dan Emrick, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Emrick, of Vicksburg, Miss.
The wedding took place at 5 o’clock Tuesday evening at St. Alban’s Episcopal church in Bovina in the presence of friends and relatives. In candlelight service Dr. Val Sessions, rector of the Bolton Field, performed the single ring ceremony.
White gladioli adorned the altar making an effective background against the dark green foliage banking the chancel.
The bride was dressed in an ensemble of navy blue silk crepe, trimmed in coral pink. She wore a corsage of pink rosebuds. Her accessories were of navy blue.
The bride was given in marriage by her father Leo V. Scott.
Attendants were Eleanor Scott, sister of the bride and James Berryman. The maid of honor was attired in a soft woolen dress of Alice blue with beige accessories. Her corsage was pink carnations.
Appropriate nuptial music was rendered by Rev. Albuts of Boston, organist.
Mrs. Emrick is a graduate of Culkin Academy and afterward attended business college. She is employed by the government.
Lt. Emrick, also a graduate of Culkin Academy, entered the Army soon after graduation, going to Camp Blanding with National Guard. This winter he attended Officers Training School at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey.
Following his furlough home he will go to Drew Field, Tampa, Florida.

HALLGRIMESON-SWINNEY
A very pretty wedding took place Thursday noon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. HALLGRIMSON when their daughter, Miss Christin, became the bride of Gilbert W. SWINNEY. The bride wore a dress of white sateen and was attended by miss Gretchen SWINNEY, sister of the groom. Ballder HALLGRIMSON acting as best man.

SUMPTER - LEUHRS
Word has been received here by relatives of the marriage of Miss Ruth Leuhrs and Raymond Sumpter, both of Bassett, who are now in Los Angeles, Calif.
The wedding was solemnized at a chapel in that city at 3 o’clock in the afternoon, Thursday, March 12. The chapel was decorated with beautiful flowers and lamps on each side of the chancel.
The bride wore a navy blue street dress and the groom wore a dark blue business suit.
Following the wedding the couple was presented with a beautiful wedding cake. The newly weds expect to make their home in Los Angeles where the groom has been employed for the past two months.

KEEBAUGH-CUDA
Miss Ruth KEEBAUGH of this community was married on Saturday morning with a nuptial Mass at St. Michaels Church at Newport to Francis T. CUDA of Newcastle, Wyoming. Miss KEEBAUGH is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles KEEBAUGH, pioneers of this vicinity and is a woman of much talent. They will make their home in Newcastle, Wyoming.

Elvin Ardean Sybrant, Bassett, and Leota Potter, Long Pine, were married in Valentine, Sunday, Sept. 15, County Judge C.H. Elliott officiating. They were accompanied by Kate Rinehart of Bassett and Elmer Ganow of Valentine.

HAMMER-KINNEY
Albert HAMMER and miss Ethel KINNEY, both of Newport, were married at Ainsworth Monday, September 6th the couple were attended by Waldo BARNS and Lilly KINNEY. The young couple will make their home at Newport. The bride is a daughter of Mr.. and Mrs. F. A. KINNEY.

KILGORE - SYBRANT
Frank Sokol of Kilgore and Elsie Sybrant of Bassett were married at the office of the county judge Saturday afternoon, Dec. 14. County Judge Allen performed the ceremony and Mr. and Mrs. Austin Sybrant were witness.
In paying for the license and ceremony the groom presented County Judge Allen with 500 pennies, which he told the judge he had been saving for the event. Another unusual feature brought about by the ceremony was that Mr. Sokol, brother of Mrs. Austin Sybrant, now becomes her cousin as well and Mrs. Sokol who was Mr. Sybrant’s cousin now becomes his sister-in-law.
The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Sybrant and the groom is a young rancher from Cherry county.

George ELWELL of Bassett and Miss Susan JILSON of Stuart were married at the home of the bride's parents, Wednesday afternoon August 25th. The newly married couple will make their home in Bassett.

James ALDERMAN of Newport and Miss Mattie BROWN of Mariaville were married at the court house Monday of this week. County Judge BERRYMAN officiating. The couple were attended by Charles RITTS and Miss Ellen BECK. They expect to make their home at Newport.

SYBRANT - BROWN
Miss Phyllis Brown and Earl Sybrant, both of Bassett, were united in marriage at 10:30 am Wednesday, February 5, by Father John P. Hilt at the St. Boniface Catholic parsonage at Stuart. The couple was attended by Miss Lillian Shald and George Shald of Stuart, cousins of the bride.
Mrs. Sybrant is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Brown, of the Hammond neighborhood. She graduated from the Stuart high school in 1938 and also attended the Grand Island Business college for two terms.
Mr. Sybrant is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John M. Sybrant of Bassett. The young couple will live about twenty-five miles southeast of Bassett, where Mr. Sybrant works with his father on a ranch.

John MAUCH and Ella MARTIN were married at Ainsworth on Sunday May 9th. County Judge BARR performed the ceremony. The newly married couple will make their home on the G. MAUCH ranch in Thurman Precinct where the groom has been preparing a home for the past few weeks.

A quiet home wedding was solemnized at the home of John VANWINKLE Sunday at hgih noon when his daughter Margaret was united in marriage to Harold JEFFREYS. The newly married couple will make their home on the R. E. JEFFREYS ranch in Selden Precinct.

HARTUNG-ACKERMAN
The marriage of Kent C. HARTUNG and Miss Dorothy ACKERMAN occured at 4:30 Wednesday morning June 9, at the home of the parents of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. J. G. ACKERMAN. The wedding, was a quiet affair, witnessed by only a few intimate friends of the bride and relatives of both paries. Mr. and Mrs. HARTUNG drove to Long Pine where they took the early morning train for a two weeks honeymoon trip, which will embrace northern and Canadian points. They will make their home at Pipestone, minn., where Mr. HARTUNG has a position with the Northern Pacific railway company.
