Sophie Ann McGUIRE
Funeral services for Sophie Ann McGuire, 88, of Wisner, were Aug. 1 at St. Joseph’s 
Catholic Church in Wisner, with interment in the St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Sophie Ann 
passed away on July 28, 2011. 

Sylva SKWAREK
Sylva Helen Skwarek, age 85, of Lake Tahoe, Calif. died July 5, 2011, after a fall 
at her Senior Residence in Reno, NV in April. A private dinner was held in her honor 
with friends and family attending.

Martha KAUP
Martha Kaup, 97, of West Point, died Aug 2, 2011. Funeral Mass was Aug. 6, 2011
at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in West Point. Burial was at St. Michael’s Cemetery. 
Stokely Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Valerie KLUTHE
Valerie Kluthe, 88, of Clarkson, died Aug. 3, 2011, at her home in Clarkson.
A Mass of Christian burial was Aug. 6, 2011 at SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic 
Church. Interment was in the Clarkson Catholic Cemetery. Miller Funeral Home 
of Clarkson in charge of arrangements.

Russell KNIGHT 
Memorial services for Russell Knight, age 60, of Norfolk, Aug. 11, 2011, at 
St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Norfolk. He died Aug. 8, 2011. Brockhaus-Howser-
Fillmer Funeral Home in Norfolk is in charge of arrangements. 

Eva WEGNER
Eva June Wegner, 74, of Bancroft, died on Aug. 2, 2011, at St. Francis Memorial 
Hospital in West Point. Memorial services for June were held Aug. 6, 2011, at Zion 
Lutheran Church near Bancroft. Burial in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Nadine EYL
Nadine Eyl, 72, of Dodge, died Aug. 3, 2011, at her home. Services were Aug. 6, 2011
at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Snyder. Burial at the Wisner Cemetery at a later date.
Stokely Funeral Home in Dodge is in charge of arrangements.

Darlene ANDRESEN-SWENSON
Darlene Amelia (Bloedorn) Andresen-Swenson, 79, of Perham, Minn., died Aug. 1, 2011
at Sanford Health, Fargo. N.D. Funeral services were Aug. 5, 2011, at St. Paul’s Lutheran 
Church, Perham, Minn.Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery, Detroit Lakes, Minn. 

Ethel HEIDER
Ethel E. Heider, 81, of Grand Island died July 3, 2011 of a heart attack. 
Services were held on July 9 at Grace Lutheran Church in Grand Island. 

Robert JOHNSON
Funeral services for Robert O. Johnson, 76, of Wisner, were Aug. 10 at the 
United Methodist Church of Christ in Wisner. Masonic Rites were held at the 
church on Wednesday. Interment was in the Wisner Cemetery. Robert died 
Aug. 4, 2011 at his home.
