Carole Sonya Madsen was born July 22, 1935, in Kansas City, Mo., to Dr. C. Clifford and Esther Madsen. In 1956, she married Raymond Lee Dickson. Dwight WUBBENHORST, 80, of Herman died Aug. 25, 2010, in Arizona. Funeral services Aug. 31, at Herman Community Church in Herman. Interment will be in the Herman Cemetery. Dwight Wubbenhorst was born Oct. 14, 1929, in Herman to Henry and Frances (Stanek) Wubbenhorst. He served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953 during the Korean War, receiving his basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. On Nov. 29, 1979, he married Helen Gubbels of Omaha. He was preceded in death by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Peter Gubbels, Alvin Gubbels, Ambrose Gubbels, Rev. They farmed west of Kennard and moved into Blair in 1948. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milo L.; two grandchildren, Robert and Rodney Beck; sister, Dorothy Ruwe; and brother Raymond Ruwe. Harold "Percy" Weathers was born Feb. 2, 1915, in Brown County, Kan., to Fred and Mary (Schreiber) Weathers. He grew up in Rulo. He served with the CCC Camp. He joined the U. S. Army on July 17, 1942, as a Combat Engineer in the Pacific. He served until Oct 6, 1945. On Jan. 24, 1948, he married Mary Prochnow. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, and sister, Hazel Rakestraw. Lucile M. ROY, 86, of California died Sept. 7, 2010. Arrangements were handled by Paris Frederick Mortuary and Cremation Services in El Cajon, Calif. Lucile M. Kubie was born Sept. 7, 1924, in Blair to Paul and Amanda Kubie. Joseph J. GUTSCHOW Jr., 59, of Blair died Sept. 20, 2010, at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha. Funeral services were at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair. Burial was held in Holy Cross Cemetery in Blair. Joseph James Gutschow Jr., was born Dec. 16, 1950, in Omaha to Joseph and Shirley (Young) Gutschow.
