MARTINSBURG, Neb. -- Loren "Bruce" BOOK, 82, died Sept. 16, 2010, at his home.

EMERSON, Neb. -- DeLores Mary STALLBAUM, 93, died on Sept. 11, 2010. 
Services held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Emerson. Burial in Rose Hill 
Cemetery at Emerson. Munderloh Funeral Home in Emerson. DeLores was 
born on Aug. 27, 1917, in Nacora, Neb., to Ralph and Mary Catherine 
(Fitzsimmons) Lamp. DeLores married Willie George Stallbaum on 
Sept. 11, 1935, at St. Luke's Church in Emerson. They celebrated their 
50th wedding anniversary in Sept of 1985. Three daughters were born 
to this union. Janice Mary, who died as an infant, Lulene Mary (Sebade) 
and Cindy Sue (Hoffman). Willie died on Jan. 19, 1990. DeLores was 
preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willie; an infant daughter 
Janice Mary; son-in-law Ervin Sebade; and a great-grandson Jared Sebade.

CROFTON, Neb. -- Marie MITTAN, 93, died Sept. 10, 2010, in Yankton, S.D. 
Graveside services in Hartington City Cemetery in Hartington, Neb. Wintz 
Funeral Home in Crofton.

DECATUR, Neb. -- Lyle C. BLEVINS, 54, of Decatur passed away peacefully
Sept. 4, 2010, at Lone Tree Farm, his home in rural Decatur, from throat 
cancer. His sisters were with him at the time of his death. Memorial services 
at United Methodist Church in Decatur. Burial in Hillcrest Cemetery. Arrangements 
are under the direction of Pelan Funeral Services in Tekamah, Neb. Lyle was born 
Oct. 27, 1955, in Oakland, Neb., to Clinton Edward Blevins and Elna (Ekstrand) 
Blevins. He was preceded in death by his parents Clinton E. Blevins and Elna 
Ekstrand Blevins.

WINNEBAGO, Neb. -- Ross W. HARDEN of Sutcliff, Nev., formerly of Winnebago, died 
Sept. 6, 2010, in Laramie, Wyo. Services at the Winnebago Community Ho-Chunk 
Center. Burial in Winnebago Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of 
Winnebago Wake and Burial Program. Ross was born July 2, 1939, in Winnebago. 
He briefly served in the U.S. Air Force. He was married to Sharon Christiansen in 
1969, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He had lived in Winnebago, Salt Lake City and 
Pyramid, Nev. He worked as a chef at various places and finally attaining the 
level of master chef in Reno, Nev. He was preceded in death by his father, 
Thomas Harden Sr.; his mother, Lorraine Harden; brothers, Thomas Harden Jr., 
Henry Harden, Fredrich Harden, Regis Harden, Darryl Harden, Morgan Harden, 
and Tom H. Harden; and sisters, Ramona Harden, Juanita Harden and 
Valerie Smith.

NEWCASTLE, Neb. -- Lyle Oscar WENDTE, 86, passed away at his residence on 
Sept. 3, 2010, following a lengthy battle with cancer. Services at Salem Lutheran 
Church in Ponca, Neb. Burial in Silver Ridge Cemetery in rural Ponca, with military 
rites conducted by Laurence Lofgren American Legion Post 62 of Newcastle. Mohr 
Funeral Home in Ponca. Lyle was born May 18, 1924, on a farm south of Newcastle
to Oscar and Effie (Flom) Wendte. He entered the U.S. Army during WWII, serving 
from 1945 to 1946 as a clerk and typist at Headquarters 315th General Hospital 
office on the Philippine Islands. On March 7, 1947, he married Mildred Olander at 
Salem Lutheran Church in Ponca. The couple farmed before purchasing the bar in 
Newcastle in 1949. Lyle was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Lyle Wendte; 
sister, Junealee Voss; and brothers-in-law, Leonard Marron, Robert Livingston 
and Chris Voss.

COLERIDGE, Neb. -- Velda G. BAYNE, 82, of Coleridge died Sept. 4, 2010, at a hospital 
in Norfolk, Neb. Services at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Coleridge. Burial in Lawn Ridge 
Cemetery at Coleridge. Arrangements are under the direction of Wintz Funeral Home 
in Coleridge.

TEKAMAH, Neb. -- Boyd L. RRAY, 81, of Tekamah, formerly of Omaha, died 
Sept. 1, 2010, at Oakland Heights Nursing Home in Oakland, Neb. Services 
at Pelan Funeral Home in Tekamah. Burial in Tekamah Cemetery. 

ROSALIE, Neb. -- Rex M. POSVAR, 82, died Aug. 29, 2010, at his residence. 
Private family services will be held. Memorial services at the Daberkow residence 
in Lyons, Neb. Burial in Bancroft Cemetery, Bancroft, Neb. Pelan Funeral Home in 
Lyons. Rex was born April 3, 1928, on the family farm east of Pender, Neb., to 
Henry and Mabel (Freel) Posvar. Rex was the oldest of five children. He married 
Arlene Jeanette Hansen in 1950, in Stanton, Neb. To this union nine children 
were born. Rex farmed for several years with his father until 1966, when he, 
Arlene and their family moved to Rosalie. He was preceded in death by his 
parents, Henry and Mabel (Freel) Posvar; brother, Arvid Posvar; and 
great-granddaughter, Tayiah Posvar.

RANDOLPH, Neb. -- Gordon Earl BOATMAN, 88, formerly of Randolph died peacefully 
in his sleep Aug. 30, 2010, at his apartment in Lincoln, Neb. Services at St. Jane 
Frances de Chantal Catholic Church in Randolph. Burial in St. Frances Catholic 
Cemetery, with military rites conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Alvin 
Kessler Post 5545 and American Legion Post 113 of Randolph. Johnson Funeral 
Home in Randolph. Gordon was born on a farm near Albion, Neb., on June 26, 1922
to Curtis and Cora (Nichols) Boatman. He married LaDonna Shearer, on Nov. 28, 1942
at Sacred Heart rectory in Norfolk, Neb. In Dec 1942, he entered the U.S. Army. He was 
preceded in death by his wife; his parents; and infant daughter, Monica Ann.
