Lillian Delores DAWES-ALBERS, age 98, of Osceola, NE, passed away 
May 28, 2010. Funeral services were held June 2, 2010 at St. Vincent's 
Catholic Church in Osceola. Interment was in the Osceola Cemetery. 
She was preceded in death by husbands, Marvin Dawes and Leo Albers; 
grandson Scott; brothers John, Emil, Charlie, Joseph, Louie, and William 
Kubicek; sisters Mary Glatter Dobias, Helen Alt and Rose Gabel Lux.

Everett Tilden LOREMAN, age 96, of Stromsburg, NE, passed away 
May 29, 2010 at York General Hospital in York, NE. Funeral services 
were held  June 2, 2010 at the United Methodist Church in Stromsburg. 
Interment was in the Stromsburg Cemetery. He was preceded in death 
by his parents Samuel and Mary Loreman.

Maxine Mae IWANSKI, age 77, of Columbus, NE, died June 1, 2010. 
Mass of Christian Burial was held June 4th at St. Isidore Catholic 
Church in Columbus. Interment was in St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery 
in rural Shelby, NE. She was preceded in death by her father Alfred Bernt.

Ina Mae BERNT 93 of Osceola, NE, died June 2, 2010, at the Good 
Samaritan Center in Scribner, NE. A graveside service was held 
June 5, 2:00 P.M. at the Circle Mound Cemetery in Rising City, NE. 
She was preceded in death by her parents Edmund and Bessie 
Callaghan, husband Walter Bernt in 1966, one granddaughter, 
two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers Orville and Merle 
Callaghan, sister Luella Callaghan, and companion Elmer Cress.

Phillip A. SUNDBERG, age 73, of Clarks, NE, passed away June 3, 2010
in Osceola, NE. Memorial services held June 16 at the Evangelical 
Covenant Church in Stromsburg, NE. He was preceded in death 
by his parents Richard and Avis Sundberg.

Ruth Doris PETERSON, age 90, of Osceola, NE, passed away June 9, 2010.
Funeral services held June 14, 2010 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Osceola. 
Interment in the Shelby Cemetery. On Aug 21, 1943 Ruth was united in 
marriage to Herman Gust Eklund. On May 28, 1972 she was united in 
marriage to Rexford H. Peterson. She was preceded in death by her 
husbands Herman Eklund and Rexford Peterson; one son Don Eklund; 
one step-son Jerry Peterson; sisters Frances I. Carlson Sandell and 
Margaret Buresh.

Raymond, L. VRBKA, age 85, of Shelby, NE passed away June 17, 2010 
at the Nebraska Heart Institute in Lincoln, NE. Memorial services held 
June 21, 2010 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shelby. Raymond 
was born May 29, 1925 to Joseph and O'Tillie (Sedlak) Vrbka in 
Brainard, NE. On Feb 17, 1949 he was united in marriage to Betty 
Jane Augustin. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph 
and O'Tillie; son-in-law LaVerne Kuhnel and one brother-in-law 
Pat Patterson.

Hazel Mae (Rouse) VANDEGRIFT, age 87,  of Stromsburg, NE was born 
to Horace and Beatrice (Winchell) Rouse north of O'Neill, NE on 
Aug 21, 1922. She died June 19, 2010. Funeral services held 
June 24, 2010 at the United Methodist Church in Stromsburg. 
Interment was in the Stromsburg Cemetery. Hazel was preceded 
in death by her parents, Horace and Beatrice Rouse, mother-in-law 
and husband, Bertha Fisher and Walter Fisher, husband Bob 
Vandegrift; sister Rose Willard and her husband Wilbur Willard 
and their daughters Karen and Rhonda Willard; brother Bernard 
Rouse; sister-in-law and husband Letha and Clinton Bahensky; 
brothers-in-law Roy Wike, Evans (Lois) Vandegrift, Howard (Lillian) 
Vandegrift and sisters-in-law Neva (Vandegrift) White and Beth 
(Vandegrift) Bierhaus.
