HEMINGFORD — Genevieve Katherine Jones, 87, died Aug. 1, 2010, at 
Alliance after a three-year struggle with melanoma. Private military 
graveside services and burial will be at a later date at the State 
Veterans Cemetery at Alliance.

HEMINGFORD — Dorothy Mae Hamilton, 83, died July 31, 2010. 
Graveside services Aug. 4, at the Hemingford Cemetery. 

Joseph POHL, 68
BRIDGEPORT — Joseph George Pohl, 68, died July 30, 2010. Mass of 
Christian Burial Aug. 4, at the Prairie Winds Community Center. 

Albert WEINELL, 82
ALLIANCE — Albert Earnest Weinell, 82, died peacefully at his home 
in Denver, July 27, 2010, after a short illness. Memorial services Aug. 2
at Malesich and Shirley Funeral Home, Denver. Memorial services Aug. 4
at the First Christian Church with Military Rites at the Alliance Cemetery.

ALLIANCE — Leila Marie (Hawley) Dafney, 84, passed away July 27, 2010.
Memorial services July 31, at St Matthew’s Episcopal Church. 

Robert GRISWOLD, 77
SCOTTSBLUFF — Robert Dean Griswold, 77, died July 24, 2010, at 
his home. Cremation has taken place and interment will be at a 
later date at Diller.

FREMONT — Marybelle Brookley Smaha, 90, passed away July 25, 2010
at her home.

ALLIANCE — Mary (Granger) Shimp, 93, died July 21, 2010. Funeral

Jack SAMPSON, 91
ALLIANCE — Jack Sampson, 91, died July 21, 2010. Memorial  
services are pending with Bates-Gould Funeral Home.

Kenny McCUNE, 61
LINGLE, Wyo. — Kenny McCune, 61, died July 12, 2010, at his Goshen 
County home, following a prolonged battle with lung cancer. Memorial 
service July 31, at Whitman Community Church at Whitman.

Mary REDWINE, 49 
LODGEPOLE - Mary Redwine, 49, died July 19, 2010, after a short 
but hard fought battle with cancer. Memorial gathering July 24, at 
the Lodgepole Community Center.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Robert Edward Brown, 76, passed away July 17, 2010. 
Turner Jenness Family Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

with his family at his side. Private family gathering to celebrate
his life on July 17, in California.
