Sioux City Journal July 22, 2005 SOUTH SIOUX CITY -- Larry D. ADDISON, 71, of South Sioux City died Tuesday, July 19, 2005. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church in South Sioux City. Burial will be in Ponca City Cemetery, Ponca, Neb. Larry was born July 17, 1934, in Newcastle, Neb., the son of Irving and Winifred (Anderson) Addison. He married Phyllis R. Hall on Sept. 7, 1957, in Ponca. She died Dec. 19, 1981, in Ponca. He then married JoAnn McCoy on Feb. 9, 1984, in South Sioux City. He was preceded in death by his parents; and an infant son, Paul Michael. MACY, Neb. -- Raymond Luther WOLF, 82, of Macy died Wednesday, July 20, 2005. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Alfred Gilpin Building in Macy, with Mr. Clifford Wolfe Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Omaha Tribal Cemetery. Raymond was born Sept. 21, 1922, in Macy, the son of Frank Wolf and Jennie Standing Bear Wolf. He fought in World War II and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army. He was the last grandson of the great Ponca Chief, Standing Bear, and grandmother Lali Standing Bear. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Jennie Standing Bear Wolf; a son, Daryl Walker; and a daughter, Jennie Riley. July 14, 2005 Lena Mae SARGENT, 90, longtime resident of Arnold, died July 9, 2005, at the Sandhills Manor in Broken Bow. She was born July 5, 195, to Charles W. and Cathern J. (Higbee) Strawn in Monroe, Neb. On March 16, 1932, she married Lee Sargent at the home of her parents. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee in 1985; her parents, a brother, Dwight Strawn; and three sisters, Violet Howard, Muriel Brooks and Lula Brodine. Services were, at the United Methodist Church in Arnold. Burial was in the Arnold Cemetery. Lewis F. BERGER, 85, of Spalding, died June 25, 2005 in Spalding. Mr. Berger was born Oct. 19, 1919, at Spalding to Vincent and Anna (Herkert) Berger. He was drafted into the service of the U. S. Army in February of 1942 to serve during World War II. He married Margaret E. Miller on Sept. 8, 1954, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Primrose. He was preceded in death by his wife and his parents, Vincent and Anna Berger. Funeral services were conducted, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Spalding. Burial with military honors was in the St. Michael's Cemetery in Spalding. Karen A. CONNICK, 51, of Doniphan, died Thursday, July 7, 2005, the result of a car accident. Mrs. Connick was born April 15, 1954, at Broken Bow, Neb., the daughter of Wayne "Pete" & Rose (Fagot) Kaps. She was united in marriage to Terry Connick on June 8, 1974, at Broken Bow. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and father-in-law, Darrell M. Connick. Services were conducted, at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Doniphan. Burial will be in Cedarview Cemetery in Doniphan. DEATH NOTICE Dolly Ardell CRANDALL , 95, of Callaway, died July 9, 2005. QUEEN, 92, of rural South Sioux City died June 21, 2005 in Lincoln, Neb. Services at First Presbyterian Church in South Sioux City. Burial in Taylor Cemetery, rural Hubbard, Neb. Born Mar 16, 1913, in Winnebago, Neb., the son of Elmer O. and Alice (Ball) Queen. He graduated from Winnebago High School. He married Isabell I. Goddard on June 1, 1939, in Onawa, Iowa. Isabell, died Mar 21, 1987, at the farm residence. He later married Amanda M. Mogensen on Dec. 30, 1989, in South Sioux City. She died Jan. 6, 2001. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers Newell, Merrill and Dwight; and a sister, Bernice Dewey. LE MARS, Iowa -- Ada M. CLARK, 95, of Le Mars passed way Wednesday, June 22, 2005. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Le Mars. Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Calhoun Cemetery, near Missouri Valley, Iowa. Ada Margaret Clark was born Aug. 30, 1909, on a farm near Geneva, Neb., to George E. and Inez H. (Porter) Hewitt. On Nov. 1, 1930, she and Kermit J. Clark were united in marriage in Missouri Valley, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kermit; an infant granddaughter, M.
