Mrs. Haskell was born Aug 27, 1915 in Cherry County to Earl and Edith Johnson. Services for Gertrue M. PENNINGTON, 99, will be held on Mon. August 1 at Chamberlain Chapel. Mrs. Pennington died July 24 in Chadron. Mrs. Pennington was born Jan. 1, 1906, the fifth of six children of William and Louise Tracy. She was the first non-native American to be born in Shoshoni, Wyo. She married Leslie Robert Pennington in Shoshoni on December 2, 1925. She was preceded in death by her husband on August 29, 1966; son Donald Tracy Pennington of New York City, Robert Pennington on April 1, 2005; and daughter-in-law: Jean M. Pennington of Omaha on June 18, 1997. Funeral services for Michael R. CASHON of Carson City, Nev., formerly of Chadron will be held Monday, Aug 1. Burial will be a Calvary Cemetery. Mr. Cashon died July 23, 2005 at Carson City, Nev. Memorial Services for Audrey G. KELLY of Chadron will be Tuesday, Aug. 2 at Chamberlain Chapel. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Mrs. Kelly died July 20 at Chadron. She was 91. Mrs. Kelly was born November 26, 1913 in Wagner, S.D. to James and Georgia Jones. Funeral Mass for Thomas R. NOLLETTE of Cody is July 25 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Nenzel. Burial follows at St. Mary's Cemetery with military honors given by the American Legion. Thomas R. Nollette died Thursday, July 21, 2005 at Cherry County Hospital. He was 77. He was born September 14, 1927 in Rural Nenzel, the son of George and Henry and Mary (Bell) Nollette. On September 16, 1964 he married Eva G. (Lucht) Masters. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Joseph and Bernard and two sisters Marguerite "Mugs" Watson-Swartz and Lucille Morton. Richard (Dick) BEST, 63, died July 17, in Oklahoma City, Okla. after fighting colon cancer for six months. A memorial service took place July 20 at the Covenant Community Church, Yukon, Okla. Richard was born in Forest City, Iowa and grew up in McCook. Richard was preceded in death by his brother Ronald and mother Bertha Kennedy Best. His grandparents were Gilbert and Laura Kennedy of Chadron and Frank and Doris Best of Chadron. Richard's remains will be interred with his grandmother Kennedy at the Greenwood Cemetery in Chadron. Chadron Record July 20, 2005 Elva Doris GASWICK died July 15 at Chadron at the age of 96 years and 354 days. Funeral services were July 19 at the United Methodist Church in Hay Springs. Interment was at the Hay Springs Cemetery. Elva Doris Gaswick was born July 26, 1908 at Lake Mills, Wis., to Emil and Mable Butzine. On December 25, 1932 Doris married George Gaswick. She was preceded in death by her husband George; son George Jr. and wife Bonnie; one grandchild; three sisters and one brother. Chadron Record June 29, 2005 Memorial services for Louise E. SERRES of Crawford June 30, at Catholic Church of the Nativity in Harrison . Burial will be at Montrose Cemetery. Mrs. Serres died June 26, 2005 at Crawford. She was 97. Born May 24, 1908 in DeWitt. Preceded in death by a daughter Mary Charlotte Anderson. Arrangements have been placed in the care of Chamberlain Chapel of Crawford. Longtime Lander, Wyo. resident, Zada PIERCE, died June 14, 2005 in Mesa, Ariz., at the age of 76. Memorial services were held June 29, 2005, at Sunset Memorial Cemetery, west of Scottsbluff. Jones Mortuary is in charge of the services and burial. Zada Mae Roberts was born August 5, 1928 at Whitney, the daughter of Willis E. 'Pop' Roberts and Ita Maude (VanNess) Roberts. She and William Harold Pierce were married on July 19, 1949, in Hot Springs, S.D. Preceded in death by her parents; brothers Lester Roberts and Steve Roberts, an infant daughter and step-mother Velma Roberts. Leland McALLISTER died Friday, May 20 at the age of 88. A memorial service celebrating his life was held at Bethel Wesley United Methodist Church in Moline, Ill. Leland E. McAllister was born Feb. 23, 1917 in Neligh, son of John M. and Ida McAllister. He married M. Carol Philips May 27, 1947, in Hay Springs. Three brothers and three sisters preceded him in death. Chadron Record July 6, 2005 Funeral services for Phyllis M. ROSE of Hay Springs are today, July 1, 2005 at the United Methodist Church of Hay Springs. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Rushville. Wake services were held Thursday, June 30 at Chamberlain-Drabbels Mortuary in Hay Springs. Phyllis Marlene Rose, 66 of Hay Springs passed away June 26, 2005. She was born November 10, 1938 in Rushville, to Raymond and Ruth (Dexter) Brownlow.
