WAHOO NEWS 2004 LINCOLN - Helen Rose KASPAR, 91, of Lincoln, formerly of Malmo, died May 23, 2004. Born Aug. 17, 1912, to Edward and Emma (Hlavac) Odvody in Prague. On May 1, 1934 married George Kaspar at Plasi. Preceded in death by her parents; her husband; an infant daughter; six brothers, Fred, Ignac, Edward, Richard, Philip and Rudy Odvody; and a sister, Rose Schmitt. Funeral services May 27 at Svoboda Funeral Home in Wahoo. Burial at the National Cemetery in Prague. Svoboda Funeral Home of Wahoo is in charge of the arrangements. BRAINARD - Edith M. MORRISSEY, 95, of Brainard, died May 19, 2004 in David City. Born Oct. 11, 1908 to John and Anna (Paseka) Stuchlik in Weston. On Sept. 5, 1928 married Edward J. Morrissey in Wahoo. Preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, LeRoy Morrissey; two brothers, Edward and Victor Stuchlik. Mass of Christian Burial was held May 22 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial was at the new Holy Trinity Cemetery in Brainard. Holesovsky Mortuary of Brainard was in charge of the arrangements. WICHITA, Kan. - Joseph W. POSPISIL, 89, of Wichita, Kan., formerly of Abie, died May 18, 2004 in Wichita. Pospisil was born Mar 24, 1915 to Charles and Bessie (Hraban) Pospisil in Abie. On May 3, 1945 he married Mabel "Mickey" Minor in Glendale, Calif. She died in July of 1972. In 1980 he married Eunice Holt. Preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mabel, a brother, Charles Pospisil; and two sisters, Vlasta Daly and Helen Cain. Funeral services were held May 22 at the Kracl Funeral Chapel in Schuyler. Burial was at the Abie National Cemetery. Kracl Funeral Chapel of Schuyler was in charge of the arrangements. WAHOO - Fay A. SCHIEFELBEIN, 87, of Wahoo died May 23, 2004 in Omaha. Born Jan. 25, 1917 to Charles and Emma (Smith) Hageman in Ithaca. On Aug. 1, 1946 she married Raymond Schiefelbein in Ithaca. Preceded in death by her husband and a brother, Ray Hageman. Funeral services May 27 at the Ithaca United Methodist Church. Pruss-Nabity Funeral Home in Wahoo. Burial will be at Indian Mound Cemetery in Ithaca. LINCOLN - Stanley J. STYSKAL, 58, of Lincoln died May 23, 2004. Born June 24, 1945 to Edward J. and Frances (Mastera) Styskal in Wahoo. Preceded in death by his father and grandparents. Funeral services held May 27 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, in Lincoln. Roper and Sons Funeral Chapel of Lincoln is in charge of the arrangements. WAHOO - Keith G. WELLS, 88, of Wahoo died May 19 in Omaha. Born Mar 18, 1916 to Charles and Helen (Granger) Wells in South Sioux City. He served in the Navy for 19 years as an operation engineering officer. He was a Pearl Harbor Survivor. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie; his parents; and a nephew, Wayne Tibke. Funeral services were held May 21 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Wahoo. Burial was at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Omaha. Pruss-Nabity Funeral Home of Wahoo was in charge of the arrangements. WESTON - Donald E. "Don" ZETOCKA, 66, of Weston, died May 22, 2004. Born March 31, 1938, to Andrew and Marie (Kubik) Zetocka in rural Weston. He served in the U. S. Navy entering active duty on Feb. 19, 1956 at Omaha. On May 19, 1962, he married Gerry Tvrdy in Valparaiso. The marriage later ended in divorce. He was preceded in death by his father; and a cousin, Alvin Kubik. Mass of Christian Burial was held May 26 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Weston. Burial was at St. John Cemetery with military rites conducted by the American Legion Post 308 of Weston. Svoboda Funeral Home of Wahoo was in charge of the arrangements. FLORAL PARK, N.Y. - Margaret ZUBA, 81, of Floral Park, N.Y. died May 12. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles A. and Antonia Styskal; her husband; sisters, Christine Matousek and Irene Egr.
