Billy Wayne DAHLGRIN
OGALLALA — Billy Wayne Dahlgrin, 47, of Ogallala died Jan. 23, 2003 in Kearney. 
Born Jan. 9, 1956, in Valentine to Billy Gene and Arlene (Cotant) Dahlgrin. On 
Aug. 16, 1975, he married to Susan K. Radke at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church 
in Chappell. Preceded in death by his grandparents, Loyal (Nate) and Vernice 
Dahlgrin and Leo and Opal Cotant; and cousins, Billy Don Wobig and Terry 
Downing. The body was cremated. Services at the Zion Evangelical Church 
in Scottsbluff.  

Dona J. DANIEL
Dona Jean Daniel, 75, of North Platte died Jan. 25, 2003. Born Oct. 18, 1927
in Fremont to Hans S. and Nina A. Nelson Clausen. Married Donald Wayne 
Freeman in Fremont. In 1974, she married Verne Daniel. Preceded in death 
by her parents, and both husbands. Services at First Lutheran Church in 
Fremont. Burial will be at Fremont Memorial Cemetery. 

Letha Mae PRENDERGAST
ARNOLD — Letha Mae Prendergast, 80, of Arnold died Jan. 26, 2003.
Born Feb. 25, 1922, to Charles and Sophia Paine Morrow in Arnold. 
On Aug. 8, 1941, married Kenneth McDowell in Detroit Lakes, Minn. 
He preceded her in death on May 14, 1982. On Nov. 16, 1991, she 
married Dr. R. J. Prendergast in Arnold. She was also preceded in 
death by an older brother, Edwin on May 12, 1999; and a stepdaughter, 
Barb Prendergast. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Agnes Catholic Church 
in Arnold. Burial will be in the Arnold Cemetery. 

Dortha Agnes Robinson REMUS
CURTIS — Dortha Agnes Robinson Remus, 96, died Jan. 27, 2003. 
Born Jan. 8, 1907, to Nellie Tabitha Davison and William Alexander 
Robinson of Hastings at the home of her grandparents Solomon and 
Martha Land Davison southeast of Moorefield. On July 25, 1925, 
married Walter Friedrich Remus at Stapleton. Preceded in death by 
her parents; step-father; husband, Walter; son, Loran Dennis; two 
great-granddaughters, Nicole Remus and Tammy Baker. Services were
at the United Methodist Church in Curtis. 

Larry ROGGOW
BURKE, S.D. — Larry Roggow, 62, of Burke, S.D. Services at the 
Civic Center in Burke. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery in Burke. 
Clausen Funeral Home is in charge. 

Polly A. TAYLOR
OVERTON — Polly A. Taylor, 65, of Overton died Jan. 25, 2003, at her home. 
She was born Aug. 13, 1937, at Farnam to W. Blair and Mildred Heath. 
On Aug. 13, 1957, she married Norm Taylor. Preceded in death by her father 
and a sister, Barbara Lierman. Services were at the Westmark Evangelical 
Free Church. Burial will be in the Overton Cemetery. 

Clayton Lee COOK
SUTHERLAND — Clayton Lee Cook, 67, of Sutherland died Feb. 4, 2003, in 
North Platte. He was born Sept. 3, 1935, at Sutherland to Henry Clay and 
Stella Amelia Houser Cook. On Oct. 31, 1954, he married Marilyn Joan Sandberg 
in Hershey. Preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Vernon Cook; his 
father-in-law, Vernon Sandberg; and a son-in-law, Gordon “Butch” Gamble, Jr. 
Services at Odean Colonial Chapel. Burial in the Riverview Cemetery south of 
Sutherland. 

Frances ‘Frankie’ Mable BROWN
GOTHENBURG — Frances “Frankie” Mable Brown, 64, of Sidney, formerly 
of Gothenburg died Feb. 2, 2003, at her home in Sidney. Born Dec. 20, 1938, 
at Maxwell to Howard H. and Edna L. Daniels Major. On Aug. 21, 1955, she 
married Earl D. Brown, and lived on a dairy farm near Maxwell for many years. 
Preceded in death by her father; a brother, Virgil O. Major; and a daughter 
Iva Ann Imler. Services at Blase Memorial Chapel of Gothenburg. Burial 
in the Fort McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell. Blase Memorial 
Chapel in Gothenburg is in charge.
