KEARNEY - Betty J. EGGERS, 75, died Jan. 24, 2003.
Graveside services at Kearney Cemetery. Born June 28, 1927, in 
Kearney, to Charles and Laura (Reed) Slack. On Feb. 6, 1946, 
married Raymond Eggers in Smith Center, Kan. Preceded in death 
by three brothers and three sisters.  

BROKEN BOW - Mary Alice HAMMOND, 80, of Broken Bow died Jan. 24, 2003. 
Services Tuesday at Berean Church in Broken Bow. Burial will be at Merna 
Cemetery. She was born April 14, 1923, in Anselmo to Charles and Esther 
(Given) Fox. On Aug. 9, 1938, married Jesse Hammond in Loup City. 
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a 
daughter, a sister and a grandson.  

KEARNEY - Floyd B. HOGG, 95, of Kearney, formerly of Shelton, died
Jan. 26, 2003. Services at Horner-Lieske-Horner Mortuary in Kearney. 
Burial will be at Shelton Cemetery. 

KEARNEY - Alice J. HOWELL, 91, died Jan. 25, 2003 at her residence. 
Services at First Presbyterian Church in Kearney. Private family burial 
at Kearney Cemetery. Born May 12, 1911, in Dalton to Joseph and Erma 
(May) Shaneyfelt. On Sept. 19, 1942, she married Frank E. Howell of 
Grand Island in Hastings. Her husband died on Dec. 20, 1973. In addition 
to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother 
and a great-grandchild.  

BERTRAND - Clifton P. LARSON, 94, of Bertrand, died Jan. 24, 2003.
Services at Loomis Evangelical Free Church. Burial at Moses Hill Cemetery 
in Phelps County. Born Mar 23, 1908, near Loomis to Henry and Agnes (Brodine) 
Larson. On June 5, 1934, he married Gladys Peterson. He was preceded in 
death by five brothers. 

BROKEN BOW - Lenore Bernice LYON, 81, of Merna, formerly of Denver, died 
Jan. 24, 2003. Services were today at Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow. 
Burial was at Merna Cemetery. She was born Dec. 7, 1927, near Merna to 
Sam and Ruth (Olmsted) Lyon. Survivors include brother, Dwight of Merna. 
She was preceded in death by a brother.  

OVERTON - Polly A. TAYLOR, 65, of Overton died Jan. 25, 2003, at her home. 
Services Wed., at Westmark Evangelical Free Church near Bertrand. Burial 
at Overton Cemetery. 

CAMBRIDGE - Robert Byron TULL, 84, of Arapahoe died Jan. 24, 2003. 
Services were today at First United Methodist Church in Arapahoe. 
Burial was at Arapahoe Cemetery. Wenburg Funeral Home of Arapahoe 
was in charge of arrangements. He was born Aug. 3, 1918, in Arapahoe 
to Otto and Emma (Vandruff) Tull. Survivors include his nieces, Teri O'Grady 
of Falls City and Myra Krumme of Kansas City, Mo. He was preceded in death 
by a brother and a sister.  

ALMA - George R. WHETSTINE, 94, of Alma died Jan. 25, 2003. Services at 
Banta-Torrey Funeral Chapel in Alma. Burial with military honors by the 
Republican City American Legion Post 361 at Republican City Cemetery. 
Born Aug. 21, 1908, in Sharpsburg, Iowa, to David and Tressa (Stark) Whetstine. 
On July 18, 1941, he married Mirth (Gifford) Gosnell in Waynesville, Mo. 
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by four brothers, four 
sisters, a stepson and two stepdaughters. 

KEARNEY - Michael S. WICK, 40, of Kearney died Jan. 22, 2003.
Services at Horner-Lieske-Horner Mortuary. Burial at Kearney Cemetery. 
Born Jan. 1, 1963, in Kearney to Donald and Sharon (Turner) Wick. 
On Aug. 9, 1981, he married Janis Schadt in Kearney. 

OSHKOSH - David Wayne WURSTER, 42, of Arnold died Jan. 25, 2003. 
Memorial services at Reynolds-Love Chapel in Lexington. The body was 
cremated. 

KEARNEY - Lloyd G. JOHNSEN, 76, of Wilcox died Feb. 1, 2003. 
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church 
in Wilcox. Burial with military honors by Wilcox and Hildreth 
veterans organizations will be at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.
Banta-Torrey Funeral Home in Wilcox. Born Mar 17, 1926, near 
Hildreth to George and Viola (Hawkinson) Johnsen. On Oct. 5, 1952
he married Verle Cole in Bertrand. He was preceded in death by a brother. 

HASTINGS - Edna L. TAUER, 87, of Hastings died Dec. 23, 2002, at 
her home. Memorial services at Brand-Wilson Chapel in Hastings. 
Born April 9, 1915, near Hildreth to John and Hilka (Nordbrock) Casper. 
On Oct. 21, 1946, she married Rudolph Tauer. Her husband died 
Feb. 28, 2001. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in 
death by a brother. 

MINDEN - Leona BOUDREAU, 91, of Campbell died Monday, Feb. 3, 2003.
Services at St. Anne Catholic Church in Campbell. Burial at St. Anne 
Cemetery in Campbell. Campbell Funeral Home in Campbell is in charge 
of arrangements. She was born Nov. 20, 1911, in Campbell to Phedime 
and Anna (Breault) Champoux. On Feb. 1, 1937, married Uklid Boudreau. 
Her husband died April 15, 1984. In addition to her husband, she was 
preceded in death by two infant sons and three brothers. 

LEXINGTON - Theodore D. "Ted" MENKE, 94, of Cozad died Jan. 31, 2003. 
Services Feb. 22 at Buffalo Grove Presbyterian Church east of Cozad. 
Berryman Funeral Home of Cozad is in charge of arrangements.
