ASHLAND – Herman C. Henry, 93 years old of Ashland died on Jan. 28, 2003. 
Henry requested no services. Marcy Mortuary in Ashland is in charge 
of arrangements. 

Shelley JOHNSON
ASHLAND – Shelley Lee Johnson, 44, of Ashland, died Feb. 1, 2003 
at her home in Ashland. Born to Jim and Dee (Dakan) Barney on 
July 2, 1958 in Lincoln. Marriage to Gerald W. Johnson on June 24, 1977 
in Ashland. Preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Margaret 
Barney and Almor L. and Emma C. Dakan. Funeral services were held on 
Feb. 4 at the American Lutheran Church in Ashland. Burial was at the 
Ashland Cemetery. Marcy Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.

David Ray STRAW
ASHLAND – David Ray "Dave" Straw, 66, died suddenly in Papillion on 
Jan. 28, 2003. Born July 7, 1936, in Nemaha County, near Peru, to 
Raymond and Mary (Beason) Straw. Marriage to Sally Snow on 
Feb. 15, 1964, at the Christian Church in Auburn. Preceded in 
death by his father and his grandparents, Lonnie and Mollie Beason. 
Services were held Feb. 1 at the First Christian Church in Ashland. 
Ashland American Legion Post 129 gave military rites and interment 
was at the Ashland Cemetery. Marcy Mortuary was in 
charge of arrangements.
