Taught in rural schools; opened Wahoo Dairy Queen; later, the Trading Post. Survivors: daughter, Merlyn Poulin, San Diego; daughter-in-law, Lu Dean Motes, Fort Worth, Texas; sister, Opal McDonald; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Services:10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Wahoo United Methodist Church. Greenwood Cemetery, Wahoo. Visitation, 1-6 p.m. Tuesday, Pruss-Nabity Funeral Home, Wahoo.
