Russell WEVER, descended from the Weavers of Wales through the line of Clement WEAVER who was the ninth generation to be a resident of the United States.

This man was born Sept. 24, 1825 at Watertown, NY and died Nov 21, 1886 at Elk Creek, NE. He was a farmer at Elk Creek and served in the Civil War. He married Elizabeth HORN (b 16 Jan 1827; d 14 Jan 1902).

Russell WEVER is my GGrandfather and the first generation to drop the "A" from the spelling from the name although other siblings spelled the name either way. (From another source I discovered that Russell was at one time Postmaster of Elk Creek).

          m 28 June 1914 to Louis Nelson CORRINGTON (b 4 Aug 1886).

William Russell WEVER was born 9 June 1858; was a long time resident of Elk Creek, NE although he spent a few years in Kansas. William died in 1929 & is buried in Oak Grove Cemetery at Elk Creek, NE
He married Mary Etta LASLEY on 22 Sept 1889. She was born Mar 16, 1874. Mary Etta Lasley Wever later married to Oscar ODELL and is buried in the cemetery in Axtell, KS

(5) George Evert WEVER b 25 Mar 1898. He served 2 yrs in the World War and was a
          non-commissioned officer in the 34th Sand Storm Division.
(6) Russell William WEVER b 2 Oct 1903.
(7) Leonard Alvin WEVER b 20 Mar 1906.

William Russell and Mary Etta Lasley WEVER are my grandparents.
Ralph Anson WEVER & Ella May (Jeffery) are my parents.

(2) John Ellis WEVER b 19 Feb 1893 at Elk Creek, NE;
          m 23 Dec 1914 to Bertha Adele GORDON (b 16 Dec 1895.)
          They resided at Sarben, NE.
