At 8 o'clock Christmas night Mrs. Bertha Carr of this city and Mr. Elmer Hoppes of DesMoines, Iowa, were married. Mr. and Mrs. Hoppes will leave in a few days for Des Moines where they will make their home.

At the Methodist parsonage in Fairbury, Nebr., Thursday Dec 24, 1908 at 10 a.m. occurred the wedding of Mr. Edward Skanes and Rose May Cumpston, Rev W.T. Cline officiating. The groom resides in Gage county and the bride in Steele City. Mr. and Mrs. Skanes will make their home at Wymore, Nebr.
