Minnie Neilson

Miss Minnie Neilson, a trained nurse died at Beatrice on Sunday, Dec. 29, 1918, aged 32 years, 4 months and 26 days. She was a victim of the flu. The body was shipped to Western on Monday and taken to the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Neilson, 4 miles west and 2 1/4 south of Western, where on Jan. 1st, funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Potratz, pastor of the church six miles west of Western.

Henry Nutzman

Henry Nutzman, aged 73 years and 4 months, died suddenly at his home in the northwestern part of the city on Tuesday evening of heart trouble. The funeral occurred from the residence on Thursday morning, Rev. Price of the Presbyterian church conducting a short religious service. The deceased leaves an aged wife and two sons, L.J., who is a well known business man of this city, and Henry, Jr., of Falls City, the latter arriving here in time for the funeral. The bereaved friends have the sympathy of many solicitous friends in their sad affliction.

Mrs. Minnie Nutzman

On last Sabbath morning Mrs. Minnie Nutzman, wife of Henry Nutzman who was buried on the Wednesday preceding, passed peacefully away. The deceased was 74 years old and her advanced age rendered her unable to withstand the ravages of a severe cold and the excitement and grief incident to the recent loss of her life partner. In life she was a member of the German Lutheran church and in death leaves the example of an exemplary Christian life. Of her immediate family but two sons survive her, L.J. Nutzman of this city and Henry Nutzman of Richardson county. The funeral took place Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the home of her son, L.J. Nutzman, Rev. B.M. Price of the Presbyterian church, conducting the services.
