Vonnie's enthusiasm for life was an inspiration to everyone.
Her willingness to accept God's will for her was a lesson for us all.
SHe led by example with dignity and grace and had a kind
word and a smile for everyone. She was a lady. It was a privilege
to have known her.
Strangers were just friends she hadn't met.

Burwell Tribune no date MRS CHARLES (YVONNE) DEARMONT
Funeral services were held Tuesday ,March 22,1983 at 2:00 pm at the
United Methodist Church in Burwell for Mrs Charles (Yvonne) Dearmont, Rev
F Glen Emert and Rev Richard Shapland, officiated.
Music was provided by Mrs Dale Harrod, and Mr Marty Robbins as soloists
and Mrs Merle Edghill as organist.
Casketbearers were Don Cain, Mervin Scofield, Tom Dearmont, Melvin Lowery,
James Lowery, and Trevor Fischer.
Interment was at Cottonwood Cemetery near Burwell.
Fleming Funeral Home of Burwell was in charge of arrangements.
Yvonne Rae Cass Dearmont of Burwell, Nebraska passed away Sunday, March
20,1983 in the Community Memorial Hospital in Burwell at the age of 45
years, 2 months and 25 days.
She was born December 23,1937 at Burwell, Garfield County, Nebraska,
Yvonne was married December 26,1955 to Charles O Dearmont at Burwell. To
this union three children were born: David Dwane Dearmont of Lincoln, Steven
Charles Dearmont of Omaha, and Diane Lea Dearmont of Lincoln.
Yvonne was the daughter of Mrs Doris Chaffin Cass and the late Donald
R Cass of Burwell.
Yvonne a lifetime member of the United Methodist Church of Burwell,
was a much beloved Sunday School teacher most of her adult life. She was
president of United Methodist Women and a member of the choir.
She was the president of Cass Construction Co Inc. She worked part time
for her aunt Dorothy (Mrs Gene Lewis) at the House of Fashion in Burwell
and was a full time employee at the Bar M Western Store in Burwell for
the last seven years.
She was a past president of the American Legion Auxiliary, a charter
member and the first secretary of the Loup Trail Chapter DAR. She was a
past member of the Jobs Daughters No 54 of Ord, Nebraska and belonged to
several social organizations.
Though "Vonnie" had been in failing health for some time, she kept her
enthusiasm for life so positive that all who called on her came away uplifted.
Her willingness to comply with God’s will for her was an inspiration to
everyone who places his faith in the Lord. It was a privilege to have been
allowed to have her in our family. She was such a special person that she
could not find a bad word to say about anyone. "Strangers were just friends
she hadn’t met yet."
Yvonne leaves to mourn her passing, her husband Charles and children,
David, Steven, and Diane, her mother, Doris, her grandmother, Mrs Edith
Chaffin of the nursing home, her sisters, Mrs Ken (Marilyn) Hoffa, Denver,
Co, Mrs Jerry (Shirley) Starkey, Goodland, Kan, and Mrs Keith (Linda) Pelton,
Ord, Nebr. Sisters and brothers in law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews,
cousins and other relatives and friends. |
