Searching for birthplace in Germany and ancestors of Henry Dick Hartz born 2/14/1878. His mother was Helene Schroeder born 1857 in Germany. They came to US around 1883. He was adopted by Claus Hartz. His mother died in 1888 and he went to live with her relatives in Hooper, Dodge County. He married Blanche Speer in Scribner, Dodge County in 1904, and they settled in West Point, NE. The adoption and Helene and Claus's marriage must have been in Nebraska, but I found no record of either one.

I am seeking information on James C and Helen Flynn who lived in Fremont in 1918. James  was evidently a travel agent. I believe Helen's maiden name was Cassidy, and that she may have been the daughter of Agnes and Patrick Cassidy of Inman township, Holt County., as Agnes was a boarder in her home.in 1918.
My father, Ambrose Kearns was placed with Agnes Cassidy in 1903 and remained there until 1913, when he was returned to NYFH.  In 1917 or 1918 he was believed to be with his foster sister at 1246 Main St. in Fremont, NE. having run away from his foster parents in Wisconsin.  I have been unable to find any school or church records for his time in Nebraska, but do know that he was Catholic.   I am seeking anyone who would know of the FLynns or are descendants of them, as I would like to know  something about my father's early years. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you

I am searching for the ancestors and siblings of my g-g-grandparents Richard WEARNE and Mary POLKINGHORNE.  They both appear to have been born in the Redruth area of Cornwall, England: Richard about 1834 and Mary 11 Aug 1835.  They came to Galena, Jo Daviess county, Illinois around 1860-1863.  They moved to the Scribner area (Ridgeley), Dodge
county, Nebraska, about 1875.  Richard died there in 1884 and Mary died in Scribner in 1911.  They had 2 children born in England: Charlotte b.1858 and Richard b. 5 Sep 1860.  A 3rd child Emma Jane was born in Galena, IL, 6 Nov 1868.  There seems to be a 4th child listed in Richard's (b. 1834) estate papers named Edward Sherman, who died between 5 Aug 1884 and 31 Dec 1884 at the age of 11.  The 3 other children are listed by their last names, so I don't know if Sherman is Edward's last name or his middle name with Wearne omitted.  There is a Samuel WEARNE in the same area as Richard in the 1880 census, who appears to be Richard's brother.

I located a WEARNE family in the 1851 Redruth, Cornwall, England census that appears to be the right family:  Richard, 61, Mary, 51, Elizabeth, 23, Richard, 18, Mary M., 16, Samuel, 11, Sampson, 8. Does anyone know anything about this family?

BEAN, George b. abt 1896...son of Arthur Mansfield Bean and Antonetta ?
I am looking for information on my great grand uncle, Arthur Mansfield Bean who lived in NE in the 1890's.  He had a young wife by the name of Antonetta (maiden name unknown).  Arthur died in 1897 leaving his young wife and baby son named George. Antonetta's parents, according to letters that I found in my grandmother's collection, lived in Hooper, Dodge County, and her father had a taylor shop in Hooper in the early 1900s.  (The young couple were living in Omaha before Arthur's death.  After he died, letters indicate that Antonetta worked as a forelady in "one of the largest dressmaking establishments in the city of Omaha (in the Ladies' Tailoring department)" and went to Hooper on Sundays to see her baby son who was being cared for by her parents. I would like to find out Antonetta's maiden name, and if there are any living descendants.
Thank you in advance...

Father KLAWITER - I am looking for any information about this Catholic priest who helped organize a settlement in Sherman County, after leaving Pittsburgh, PA.  He and John Barzynski are somewhat credited with the move, and I am trying to get a list of all the families who came with them.  Some were from Pittsburgh and some were from Chicago and Kankakee County.  Many Czech, Polish and Bohemians were included.  I think Father Klawiter left Sherman County under a cloud and I am looking for where he went next, too.

I'm looking for my Danish great grandmother's family.  Her sister, Dorothea FREDERIKSEN, married Henry BEHM who had a confectionery shop first in Fremont and later in North Bend.  I understand there was a big fire in North Bend in the early1890s so I'm wondering if his shop burned or possibly he was killed in that fire as she remarried and moved to CO a few years later.  Dorothea's father was Ludwig FREDERIKSEN.  I saw an L. FREDERIKSON on the 1890-91 Fremont
directory and am wondering if it is him.  I would appreciate any help in Dodge Co. with this family.

We are trying to locate the descendants of Catharina Hargens Dahl. She was married to Johann Hinrich Dahl in 1865 in Germany. They came with his family to Stephenson County, Illinois and later to Dodge county. Mr. Dahl married a second time after she died in the early 1870's. At one time I found some addresses of Dahls, who were working on Family History in Dodge, but I lost them. One of Catharina's two daughters was married to a Nolan and they had twin daughters. The Dahl and Hargens families were from Schlichting in Holstein.     Thank you for any help.

I am searching for ancestors and any information about my great, great grandparents Perry Kingsbury Smith (b. Homestead info, etc. would be helpful.

JOHNSON and LASS surnames...
I am researching my husband's side of our family tree.  His mother, Margaret Ann JOHNSON, was adopted in 1947 at the age of 10 years old to the KLINTWORTH's.  She had 2 twin sisters, Jean and Jane, and a brother, Tom who were all adopted to different families.  Their birth father was Andrew (Andy) JOHNSON and their birth mother was Dorothy LASS.  They lived near Crowell, NE (between West Point and Fremont, NE).  I would guess that Andy and Dorothy were born between the years of 1910 and 1920.  Anyone have any information on Andy JOHNSON or Dorothy LASS?  Thanks!
