STOP TABLE CEMETERY
Stop Table Cemetery is located in Elim Township, ten miles southwest of Callaway, Custer County, Nebraska. It was originally named Hope Cemetery. The Hope Cemetery Association received this tract of ground from John and Dora Lammert on March 3, 1893 for $1.00. Mr. James K. McFate was the first treasurer and the original lots sold for $3.00 each. In 1937 the cemetery was taken under the jurisdiction of the township and the name was believed to have been changed to Stop Table at that time.
This is a public cemetery and is accessible from the road. From Callaway, go 7.7 miles west on Hwy. 40, then 2 miles south.
