HILLDALE CEMETERY


This is a public cemetery and is accessible from the road.  It is about 8 miles north of Broken Bow, on east side of the 'old' Gates to Broken Bow road, just north of "Dead man's canyon", on a high hill.  Travel 3 ½  miles north of Broken Bow - on pavement - then turn left - west - and go 4 ½  miles on the gravel road.

Schmitt, George,  1860 - (no death date engraved on stone);  Elizabeth,  1866 - 1919

Springstube, Matilda, dau of L. S. & M., died Jan 21, 1885, age 16 ys 6 m & 15 d,  "Go home dear friends and dry your tears, I will arise when Christ appears"

Springstube, Phillipine, died April 10, 1893, age 24 years, "God in his wisdom has recalled the boon his love had given and tho the body slumbers here the soul is safe in heaven";  Bertha,  died August 31, 1898, age 32 years,  "A precious one from us is gone, a voice we loved is stilled, a place is vacant in our home, that never can be filled"
