FRENCH TABLE CEMETERY
This is a public cemetery and is accessible from the road. It is 2 ¾ miles west of Weissert, Custer County, Nebraska, then 1 mile north and ¼ mile east or from Broken Bow, travel 5 miles east on Hwy 70; turn north at the Weissert sign and travel for 7 more miles. This road runs north and is paved for almost four miles. At this point the pavement ends and the road curves and runs east for almost two miles. It then is paved again, curves and runs north. The pavement ends again at the turn off for Weissert, but stay on the gravel. Finally, the road curves and runs east again about ¼ mile from the cemetery. There are two brick posts on either side of the gate leading into the cemetery - one has a plaque that reads, "French Table Cemetery, Est. 1917, donated by Edmond Haumont and wife Mary Severyns Haumont, Custer County Pioneers 1878"; the other plaque reads, "French Table Cemetery, this entrance in memory of Lucille Kleeb McArthur"
