Dale Cemetery

DALE CEMETERY

This cemetery is also known as St. Andrew's.  It is a public cemetery and is accessible from the road.  From Merna, Custer County, Nebraska, travel north 2 miles on Hwy 2, then go 3 miles west or from Broken Bow, drive north on Hwy 2 to Hwy 92, turn on travel 3.3 miles west, then turn north and go two more miles.  The iron gate says Saint Andrew's.  Towards the back of the cemtery - almost straight across from the gate - is a large cross shaped granite stone, with a figure of Jesus carved in the front.  On the bottom it says, "Erected and dedicated 1975 to the memory of the early pioneers of the Dale Valley and St. Andrews church in gratitude for chosing this site for themselves and future generations.
