This cemetery is located 8 1/4 miles south of Mason City, Custer County, Nebraska and is accessible from the road.  From Nebraska highway 2, turn south into Mason City and follow this same road south.  The road is oiled about half of the way and then becomes gravel.  This road takes you directly to the cemetery.  This cemetery has an arched gateway leading into it.  Across the top of the arch are the words "Basin Lutheran Cemetery".  A gate- under the arch - leads into the cemetery.  Right inside the gate is a large granite stone with the following inscription on the front:

Lund - this is a large granite headstone with only this one name on it with a cross above the name - beside and to the left of this stone are three graves, each enclosed by a cement border first one says Mother on top of the front piece of cement and below that on the side it says Mali 1853 - 1921 - second one says Father on top of the front piece of cement and below that on the side it says 1840 - 1902 (stone has been broken into pieces, but does appear to spell out Father on top, it looks like there was a name beside the date at one time, but it is broken up too much too read now) - third looks like a child's grave, it isn't as long as the other two, it says Ella on the top of the front piece of cement and on the side of cement, under the name it says 1884 - 1889
