RICE
I am trying to find how to go about knowing the names of teachers in the rural schools in the area which was known as Melrose District. I know my grandmother Pernesa Rice was a teacher for a short time and I have a picture of her and her students. How can one get information on this. It would be in the early 1900's.

MATTHEWS, RICE
I am researching the Matthews and Rice families that were in Arthur County from approximately 1895 until at least 1915. Specifically, I am looking for Leland Rice born about 1896; his wife, Stella (Wilson) Rice born about 1874; and their daughter, Pernisa Elizabeth (Rice) Matthews, born about 1896. Edwin/Edward Matthews born about 1865; his wife, Francess Mannon born about 1872 (probably Nebraska); and their son, Edwin/Edward Matthews born about 1898 (probably Nebraska). For reference, Pernisa and Edwin/Edward married around 1915. Thank you for whatever information you can give about these families. I do not need copies of the information.

LIGHTBODY
I am looking for information on George McCellen Lightbody that lived in Arthur County in the late 1800's and early 1900. He was married to Alma Fullmer and they had 4 boys named Leslie, Theodore, Edgar, and Albert. I do have an article about George being killed by accident in 1911 but don't know what happened to the family after that. Do not know where the boys and their mother went or if they stayed after his death.

McLEY
Researching the family of James F. McLey who lived in Braden Pct., Arthur Co., NE, in 1910. Members of his household in 1910 were wife Annie and children Jessie (a school teacher), Wesley, Dorathea, Theodore and Boyle. Annie died 10 March 1912 in Braden and was buried in Edgar, NE, a former home of the family. James was still living in Arthur Co. when he married for a third time in Harrison Co., MO. In 1920 he was living in Daviess Co., MO, with his wife and two children. I'm trying to trace all of the children and find some information about their lives in western NE. Would be glad to exchange information about this family.

Seeking to find an obituary for Jerry Bowen who died in early March, 1919.� At the time of his death he was living in Arthur but he was buried in Lincoln County (North Platte) where he lived at the time of his wife's death in 1913. Any help will be appreciated.

BEBEE, EAGER, STODDARD
I am searching for the Stoddard (Stodhard) family who welcomed my greatgrandparents, William and Catherine Eager and their children, to live with them on their farm in NE. The Eagers moved from Ontario, Canada in 1903-05. The Eagers moved to NY in 1918; however, my grandmother, Lottie Eager, stayed in NE and married Walter Bebee in Boone County. Anyone have any info on these Stoddards?
