Is there anyone living in or near Rugby who would have the time to look up some records for me? Frank Peter DARCY and Mary Evelyn TRACY were married at Rugby, Pierce county, about 1902. They had a daughter named Marie (or Mary) born 1900-1905. Mary Evelyn (Tracy) DARCY died in 1905 and is buried in Little Flower Catholic Cemetery in Rugby. Frank DARCY may have re-married in 1905 to someone named Nellie. Before 1910 Frank DARCY and his daughter moved to Alberta, Canada. I am looking for someone who would be willing to look up these marriage, birth and death records, and possibly newspaper articles about these events.

Any help you can give me would be very much appreciated. As a kid I lived in Balta but now live in Virginia Beach, VA, so it is a long way "home". Thank you for your help.

In a post some time ago I identified my G-Grandfather as Angus BAKKEN. His correct name is August BAKKEN. August was bn Feb 1842. He emigrated from Norway in 1875. August's wife, Caren, was bn Sep 1865, emigrated from Norway in 1880. They were married in 1885 or 1886.
Their children were;
Anton bn Mar, 1884 married Alma LANDER
Emma bn May 1888, m. Carl BRYNTESON
Clara bn Jul 1890, m. Oscar MELLOM
Anna bn May 1893, m. Albert LARSON
Alice bn Apr 1896, m. Hans NELSON
Albert bn 1902 never married
Esther bn 1907, m. Sid MOORE.

Anton, my Grandfather, was born in ND but I don't know where. All the other children were born in Baron. August & Caren married over a year after Anton's birth, so was August his father? I don't know for sure.

August is listed on the 1900 census, but by 1910 is lists Caren as head-of-household. I assume August died during this 10 year period, but have been unable to find a gravesite or obit.

Any connection to or information about any of the above families please contact me at MyRoots1@aol.com
Thanks and happy hunting,
