Mr Carl Eugene Franklin, 77, of Forest City, NC, passed away Friday, April 30, 2010. Services were held at Crowe's Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Adaville Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr Franklin served our country in the US National Guard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Benjamin Beatty Franklin and Alwain Welch Franklin; and 1 sonRickey Eugene Franklin.

He is survived by his wife, Betty West Franklin of the home; 1 son, Dale Franklin of Harris, NC; 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: The American Cancer Society.
