Carver Cemetery Joe Carver Road Jonathan Creek, Haywood County, NC Survey done May 6, 2000 by Rebecca Howell and Ruby Howell Sutton To get to this cemetery, take Hwy. 276 down Jonathan's Creek toward I-40 and Tennessee. Take Joe Carver Road which turns off to the left beside the old Rock Hill School (now the Good Samaritan Baptist Church) approximately 1 mile. The cemetery is on the right off of Joe Carver Road marked only by a very small sign which says "cemeteries." Going through the gate and to the top of the hill, this cemetery will be on your left. It is beautifully maintained and surrounded by a chainlink fence. There are quite a few graves marked only with fieldstones. I am recording those as "unknown." There are a few places which appear to be graves but have no markers of any kind. I am not recording those The cemetery is inside a pasture, so any visitors should be very careful to close all gates securely. No one is ever truly dead until the last person forgets to remember them. Starting at the back of the cemetery and moving left to right: Row 1: 6 unknown Row 2: David C.
