Yvonne Dillon Smith, 83, of the Baton community, died Feb. 1, 2010, in The Woodlands, Texas.

She was born on July 4, 1926, in Chicago, Ill., to the late Roy and Florence Dilworth Dillon. She was preceded in death by a son, Daniel A Smith; a sister, Eleanor �Lee� VanDenElzen; two brothers, James and John �Jack� Dillon; and a great-granddaughter, Sophia West.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, A. Stanley Smith; sons James and wife Karen of Burlington, Wis., and Dennis of Granite Falls; daughters, Nancy Williams and husband James of The Woodlands, Texas, and Karen Parrish and husband G.W. of High Springs, Fla.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two brothers Gordon �Bud� Dillon of Kenosha, Wis., and Frank Dillon of Santa Ana, Calif.

A memorial service will be held on Friday March 5 at 2 p.m. at North Catawba Baptist Church, where she was a member for 50 years. The Rev Ned H. Webb and the Rev. Ken Atkins will be officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
