Mr. Woodrow Minton Jr., 58, of Mayfield Drive, Granite Falls, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at Camelot Manor.

He was born Oct. 10, 1951, in Caldwell County, N.C., to the late Rev. Woodrow W. Minton and Stella Morrow Minton. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Louiza Minton.

Mr. Minton was a member of the Granite Falls Volunteer Fire Department.

He is survived by his son, Christopher Minton and wife Stacey of Conover; four daughters, Cynthia Wood of Dunn, N.C., Karen Santos and husband Felipe of Dunn, N.C., Kimberely Wood and husband Rick of Rhodhiss, N.C., and Reba Minton of Morganton, N.C.; six grandchildren; five sisters, Sue Hall and husband Leonard of Granite Falls, N.C., Mamie Cornett and husband Dallas of Granite Falls, Precious Wilcox and husband Robert of Connelly Springs, Betty Bowman and husband Fred of Hudson, and Ellen Crump of Granite Falls, N.C.; his brother, Max W. Minton and wife Louise of Hudson.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at Mackie-High Funeral Home.

The funeral for Mr. Minton will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 2010, at Light House Ministries, Drexel, with Pastor Donna O�Neal and Pastor Jerry Lingerfelt officiating.
