Virgie Katherine Williams McDade, 86, of Lenoir, passed away Saturday March 13, 2010, at Camelot Manor in Granite Falls.

Mrs. McDade was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Hudson and was retired from Caldwell County School Systems.

Mrs. McDade was born Feb. 14, 1924, in Caldwell County to the late Lawrence E. Williams and Ella Amanda Poarch Williams. She also is preceded in death by her first husband, Charlie B. McDade; one daughter, one brother and one step-son.

Survivors include her spouse, Fredrick Earl James of Granite Falls; daughters, Juanita Lynn of Dawsonville Ga., and Judy Mullinax of Hudson; and five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Receiving of friends will be Monday, March 15, 2010, from 2-3 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church in Hudson. A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. with the Rev. James Hamby officiating.
