Joseph Henry Craig Jr. passed away on March 5, 2010, at his home in Hayward, Calif., after a short illness. He was 81.

Joe was born on Feb. 25, 1929, in Caldwell County, N.C., to Joseph H. Craig Sr. and Maude Eliza Catherine Lee Suddreth Craig, who preceded him in death. He attended Happy Valley High School, graduating in 1947. Joe moved to California in 1956 and has lived in California since.

He is survived by his second wife, Lee Craig of Hayward, Calif.; his first wife, Beverly Foster Craig of Lenoir, N.C.; and his children, Joseph H. Craig III of Charlotte, N.C., Tricia Nicklas of Glen Burnie, Md., Maureen Collins and Jackie Falkowski of Lenoir.

In addition, he is survived by three grandhcildren, Matthew Collins of Lenoir, N.C., Beth Minton of Spencer, N.C., and Renee Melgoza of Fremont, Calif.; and one great-granddaughter, Jorsan Kinnaman of Hawaii.

Through retired at his passing, Joe was a long-time employee of Guardian Packaging Corporation in Newark, Calif.

He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
