Mr. Hubert Earl Holman, 78, of Tranquil Hills Dr., Lenoir, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at Camelot Manor Nursing Care Facility.

He was born May 20, 1931 in Wilkes County, to the late William Everet Holman and Leuannie Grayman Holman. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Yancey; a brother and four sisters.

Mr. Holman was a member of Lewis Baptist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Robbins Holman of the home; children, Sandy Morel, Debbie Hensley and husband Elbert, Becky Holman, Wilbur Yancey, Crystal Hallyburton and Scarlet Dula; a granddaughter, Tamin Yancey of the home; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

The funeral service for Mr. Holman will be at noon Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Mackie-High Chapel with the Rev. Coley Bryant, the Rev. Ron Leasure and the Rev. Nathan Leasure officiating. Burial will be at Link Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Mackie-High Funeral Home.
