Mrs. Estelle Duffey Keller Lingerfelt, 88, went home to be with the Lord and Savior Sunday, March 7, 2010, at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care.

She was born Sept. 19, 1921, in Randolph County, Va., to the late William Thomas Duffey and Lillie Mae Winkler Duffey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children�s father, Harvey Lawrence Keller; her second husband, Wilburn Lingerfelt; a daughter, Betty Jean Melton; and an infant brother.

Mrs. Lingerfelt attended Lovelady Baptist Church as a young girl. She worked most of her life in the hosiery industry.

She is survived by her son, Robert Lee Keller of Hildebran; her daughter, Carolyn Keller Rominger and husband Harold of Granite Falls; five grandchildren, Cindy Rominger and husband Curtis of Granite Falls, Julie Lyn Johnson of Granite Falls, Elaine Benfield of Granite Falls, Robert Keller Jr. and wife Becky of Longview, Deborah Brittian of Lincolnton; two step-grandchildren, William Rominger of Charlotte and Amy Teague of Granite Falls; six great-grandchildren, Amber Rominger of Waco Texas, Bryson Rominger of Granite Falls, Daniel Keller of Hickory, Cole Keller of Hickory, Kesha Kirk of China Grove, N.C., Leslie Elam of Lincolnton; four great-great-grandchildren, Ethan, Kayla, Adison and Jayden; two sisters, Mary Kirby of Charlotte, N.C., and Hattie Duffey Young of New Bern, N.C.; her brother, James Duffey of Newton, N.C.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at Mackie-High Funeral Home.

The funeral service for Mrs. Lingerfelt will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at Mackie-High Chapel with the Rev. Floyd Crouch officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Hickory.

Pallbearers for Mrs. Lingerfelt will be Dennis Rominger, G.T. Kirby, Brian Kirby, Otis �Sonny� Wood, Dwight Yount, Robert Keller, Jr., Donald Hefner and Jimmy Deaton.
