Norris Family Reunion

Descendants, relatives and friends of William Berry Norris and Martisha Trivette Norris are invited to gather on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at the Cranberry High School complex in Elk Park, NC, for their annual reunion.

Fellowship will begin at 10:30am with a covered dish meal at noon. Bring family pictures and memorabilia, your camera, and food to share. For more information you may call Naomi at 818-765-7693 or Harvey at 423-542-5262.

Reunions for 2009:

Norris Family Reunion

Descendants of William Berry Norris and Martisha Trivette Norris will meet for their annual reunion at the old Cranberry High School complex in Elk Park, NC on Saturday, October 3, 2009. Those attending are asked to bring family pictures and memorabilia to share. Registration and fellowship will begin at 10:30am followed by a covered dish lunch around noon.

William Berry Norris and his wife were some of the first settlers on Old Beech Mountain. They became the parents of nine children, seven of whom survived: Julia Ann Norris Hagie, Leroy Russell Norris, Bynum Lee Norris, Zillia Norris Cook, Grady Hall Norris, James Luther Norris, and Roscoe Norris. If you are a descendant of any of these children this is your reunion. Come early, stay late, and meet your cousins!

Burleson Family Reunion

Descendants of Charles C. Burleson and Caroline Dean, Charles and Susan Burleson will have their annual reunion Sunday, August 2nd, 2009 at 1pm in the Burleson’s Chapel Fellowship Building at Henson Creek. Anyone planning to attend, please bring your family pictures, items of interest and a covered dish. All related families are welcome. Come join us.

Reunions for 2006:

Norris Family Reunion

Several descendants of William Berry Norris and Martisha Trivette Norris met recently to plan a "first" annual reunion. The event has been set for Saturday, October 7, 2006 at the Cranberry High School complex in Elk Park, North Carolina. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish to share and family pictures and memorabilia. Drinks, bread and paper products will be furnished. Registration and fellowship will begin at 10:30am followed by lunch and a visit to the old home site and family cemetery for any of those attending who are interested.

William Berry Norris and his wife Martisha were some of the first settlers on Old Beech Mountain during the 1800's. They lived in the house now owned by Troy and Frankie Crawford on land that was granted to them by the State of North Carolina. There they became the parents of nine children, seven of which survived. Those children were Julia Ann Norris Hagie, Leroy Russell Norris, Bynum Lee Norris, Zillia Norris Cook, Grady Hall Norris, James Luther Norris, and Roscoe Norris. If you are descended from any of these children this is your reunion. Please come and meet your cousins!
