WESLEY EMERY ANTHONY (1919-1983)

    Born January 17, 1919 at Lubec, Washington, ME to Howard Waterson & Elizabeth Lillian Fletcher

    Enlisted in the U.S. Army April 9, 1941 in Machais, ME, and was soon stationed in Portland, ME. He later served as an M.P. with the 240th Coast Artillery, and was sent to Manila, Philippines. Since he was not with the original unit, he was transferred to Germany where they were training for an invasion of Japan. When the war ended, he was assigned to the Motor Corp, and when he was discharged from service on December 20, 1945 he held the rank of "Sgt."

    Departed this life May 30, 1983 due to a heart-attack at Attleboro, MA, and was laid to rest at Pine Hill Cemetery in Bridgewater, MA.
