CALEDONIA, N.S., Nov. 20 - (C.P.) - Bodies of several men were found tonight in the wreckage of a large bomber that crashed and exploded in heavily wooded country five miles from here this evening. It was reported there were five in the aircraft, but late tonight no accurate count of the bodies had been made.

Eastern Air Command at Halifax said it had no announcement to make about the crash, and it is not known whether the men belonged to the R.C.A.F. or the R.A.F. However, an announcement from the command was expected tomorrow.

Residents of the district, between Westfield and North Brookfield, said the plane was seen circling about for a place to land, and seemed to be having engine trouble. It was reported to have caught fire in the air and then plunged to the ground, where it exploded.

The bodies were thrown some distance from the wreckage, and one engine was found buried in the ground about 200 feet away.
