Airman Is Now Presumed Dead
Flt. Sgt. W.G. Davidson Missing Since June 3

    Flt. Sgt. William Gordon Davidson is officially presumed to have died June 3, 1945, according to word received from the department of national defence, by his wife, Mrs. Jane Davidson, the former Miss Jane Mutton, 725 Randolph street.

    The flier, a son of Mr. and Mrs. William Davidson of Feversham, Ont., was lost in a flying accident.

    He was born on June 12, 1918 in Feversham received his schooling there. He came to Windsor in 1942 and enlisted here in April, 1943.

    He received his wireless air gunner's wings in April, 1944 at Paulson, Manitoba.

    Flt. Sgt. Davidson was stationed at Malton airport, at Three Rivers, PQ, at Mount Hope, Ont., and during his service at the operational training unit at Pennfield Ridge, was lost on a rountine flight.

    Two other brothers served with the R.C.A.F. the former FO. Bert Davidson, D.F.C., now residing in Toronto, and Flt. Sgt. Norman S. Davidson, who was killed in a flight over Germany in March, 1944.

TRANSCRIBER'S NOTES: F/S W.G. Davidson was part of Course No.10 (WAGs) at RCAF Station, Pennfield Ridge when Ventura 2144 disappeared 100 miles east of Halifax.
